"Are you looking for Hawaii Visa Information & Requirements?"
Hawaii is a favorite holiday destination for people from all over the world. Citizens of every country visit the Islands every year. There are several requirements for entry in the Hawaii. A visa for Hawaii is also mandatory in some cases.
A machine-readable passport (MRP) is necessary for all visitors entering Hawaii under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP). The passport must comprise a bar code on the photo page. If a visitor is entering Hawaii under the VWP he must possess biometric identification measures, like fingerprints or iris details, along with his MRP. This has been brought to effect from 26 October 2006.
All new passports for Hawaii must also contain a digital photo of the traveler. It is now mandatory for all travelers, including the ones traveling under the VWP, to have a photograph and two fingerprints taken by an inkless scanner as soon as they arrive at the airport.
You will require a Visa for Hawaii if you are not a citizen of US. Visitors from the United States and Canada do not require a Visa to enter Hawaii. However, for visitors from the rest of the world, a Hawaii Visa is a must, unless you are eligible for the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP). All visitors must ensure that the passports they carry are valid for six months beyond the period for which they plan to stay.
A valid passport is a must for all UK travelers entering the USA. But, British citizens who have successfully availed the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), do not necessarily require a visa for their vacations, transit or business purposes. This facility is applicable only if they are able to provide MRP-s. However, visitors under the VWP are not allowed to stay more than 90 days. Just like the British, the Australians and New Zealanders also do not require a visa for Hawaii if they have planned their stay for up to a maximum of 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program. Citizens of all other countries are required to hold a passport valid at the date of entry. They also need a visa.
People traveling under the Visa Waiver Programme must have a return or onward ticket. Visitors are required to register online at the US government ESTA website three days prior to their visit. Similarly, at the end of their visit they must check into the ESTA website before leaving the country. This is done for security reasons and also to know if any of the visitors under the VWP have prolonged their stay to more than the stipulated 90 days. This has been in effect since 12th January 2009.
